Facilities Manager

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for Etqan Global Academy, a newly established IB World School in Doha. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and safety of the school’s buildings, grounds and infrastructure, ensuring an environment that supports teaching, learning and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of the school estate, keeping facilities safe, functional and fit for purpose.
• Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance programmes and oversee reactive maintenance.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, testing, certification and support internal and external audits.
• Manage contractors and service providers on site, ensuring work is completed safely and to high standards.
• Support planning, coordination and delivery of refurbishment and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain asset registers, equipment records and maintenance histories for effective lifecycle management.
• Assist with facilities budgets, procurement activities and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Provide facilities support for school events, examinations and emergency situations.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing facilities operations in a complex environment.
• Experience coordinating maintenance programmes and contractors.
• Strong understanding of building maintenance, statutory compliance and facilities management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) – desirable.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or Project Management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2) – desirable.
• Experience in an education setting or the GCC region – desirable.
