Finance Supervisor

About the role

The Finance Supervisor will oversee financial accounting activities for assigned business units, ensuring compliance with IFRS and timely completion of both internal and external audits. This role coordinates month‑end closing, manages chart of accounts updates, and supports financial analysis for new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Record new business transactions in accordance with IFRS and support audit processes.
• Prepare financial statements for assigned entities following IFRS standards.
• Identify accounting gaps by reviewing General Ledger schedules and report findings.
• Maintain and update the chart of accounts, including opening and closing GL codes.
• Lead month‑end closing activities, set timelines, and ensure accurate completion.
• Perform foreign currency revaluations for payables, receivables, and bank balances.
• Reconcile system reports across ERP modules and collaborate with stakeholders for data accuracy.
• Analyse potential new ventures and evaluate supporting business cases.
• Execute additional departmental duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Relevant vocational, tertiary or trade qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, CA or similar (preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant finance experience.
• Proven ability to meet tight internal reporting deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset with data interpretation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to confidentiality of financial records.
