Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Lead

About the role

The Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Lead is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems in deployed locations. The role ensures compliance with relevant codes and standards while supporting safe operations under extreme environmental conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm and suppression equipment, including wet sprinkler and kitchen extinguishing systems.
• Identify hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments, ensuring work complies with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop and implement procedures to prevent recurring defective services.
• Interpret system design plans, building construction drawings, and related documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting overall life‑safety operations.

Required profile

• NICET Level III certification in Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering is highly desired.
• Minimum five years of experience in the fire protection/life‑safety industry, including journeyman or foreman roles.
• Extensive knowledge of various sprinkler systems (wet, kitchen extinguishing, etc.).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; U.S. passport preferred.
• Ability to meet USCENTCOM deployment policy requirements and obtain a Qatar residency visa.
• Willingness to work in extreme conditions, endure long hours, and handle hazardous environments.
• DoD Secret clearance (must maintain).

Required skills

• Fire alarm system inspection, testing and maintenance.
• Fire sprinkler system maintenance, testing, repair and troubleshooting.
• NICET Level III certification (Fire Alarms or Special Hazard systems).
• NICET Level II certification for fire alarm, special‑hazard, and water‑based systems.
• Knowledge of the National Fire Alarm Code (NFPA 72) and applicable UFC codes.
• Ability to read and interpret system design plans and construction drawings.
