General Manager - Additive Manufacturing

About the role

MBK Global is looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager to build and scale a sovereign additive manufacturing capability in Qatar, serving critical sectors such as oil & gas, aviation and defence. The role reports to the CEO and requires immediate mobilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business plan, feasibility study, financial model and phased mobilisation roadmap.
• Lead establishment activities including permits, licences, facilities, equipment, operating systems and supplier arrangements.
• Negotiate joint‑venture agreements with international partners and secure subsidies, incentives and industrial development support.
• Build the customer pipeline, lead tenders, negotiate contracts and convert proofs of concept into repeat orders.
• Oversee the full delivery chain from engineering and manufacturing to inspection, testing, logistics and customer acceptance.
• Own profit and loss, budgeting, cash‑flow, capital expenditure and pricing discipline.
• Recruit and develop a capable local team while leveraging partner expertise.

Required profile

• Extensive oil and gas industry experience covering asset integrity, reliability, maintenance and supply‑chain management.
• Proven track record of establishing or scaling an industrial business unit with full commercial and financial accountability.
• Experience delivering complex industrial projects where safety, quality and schedule are critical.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage intellectual‑property and licensing arrangements.
• Cultural awareness and ability to build durable relationships in Qatar.
• Engineering or related technical qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
