Government Relations Manager – Doha

About the role

Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) Cargo is seeking a Government Relations Manager to act as the primary liaison between the cargo division and Qatari government entities, regulatory authorities, and airport stakeholders. Based in Doha, you will support strategic initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and help drive operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with ministries, airport authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Serve as the focal point for all government aviation requirements and coordinate with relevant authorities.
• Support the creation and execution of government relations strategies and policies.
• Ensure operational teams comply with regulations, aviation requirements, and airport standards.
• Lead negotiations, discussions, and dispute resolution with government stakeholders.
• Manage government‑related projects, aligning processes and contingency plans with regulatory expectations.
• Provide expert guidance on policies affecting cargo operations.
• Mentor and coach Qatari talent within the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing government requirements and regulatory oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with officials and authorities.
• Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
