Head Accountant – Doha, Qatar

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Head Accountant to lead the company’s accounting, financial and payroll operations in Doha, Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Process payroll and WPS salary transfers.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations.
• Coordinate external audits and tax requirements.
• Monitor project costs, expenses and profitability.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Qatar.
• Experience in real estate, construction or trading is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or CIMA are an advantage.
• Highly accurate, trustworthy and detail‑oriented.
