Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Officer – Site Operations

About the role

AtkinsRealis is looking for a dedicated Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer to support site operations in Qatar. You will ensure compliance with local HSE regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and lead risk‑management activities on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures aligned with UAE and Qatar regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify hazards.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, incident reports and audit records.
• Provide training and guidance on HSE practices and emergency response procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Assist in creating safety plans and emergency response strategies for projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Minimum 13 years of HSE experience, preferably with UAE site supervision.
• Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
