Hotel Cashier – Guest Payments & POS Operations

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Cashier to join our hotel team, responsible for processing guest payments and managing cash operations with precision and professionalism. The role ensures accurate handling of cash, card, and room‑charge transactions while maintaining strict adherence to hotel cash‑handling policies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle cash, card, and room‑charge payments accurately.
• Operate the POS system and close guest checks correctly.
• Verify discounts, voids, and complimentary bills according to hotel procedures.
• Reconcile daily collections against POS reports and ensure all transactions are accounted for.
• Prepare and submit daily cashier reports with required supporting documents.
• Maintain and safeguard the assigned cashier float at all times.
• Identify and report any cash shortages, overages, or discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure all transactions and supporting documents are complete and properly recorded.
• Follow the hotel's cash‑handling procedures and internal controls.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling guest and financial information.
• Cooperate with relevant departments to resolve payment or billing discrepancies.
• Perform other cashier‑related duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
