HR Business Partner – Retail (Qatar)

About the role

The HR Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to senior line management within Al-Futtaim Technologies' retail division in Qatar. You will develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth, promote a performance‑driven culture, and ensure compliance with Group HR policies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business MD, GM HR and Group HR Director to create a store‑specific HR strategy and annual HR plan.
• Communicate HR plans and progress to both the HR function and business units.
• Drive continuous improvement across HR activities within the retail business.
• Oversee employee induction, ensuring new hires become productive quickly.
• Develop succession and retention strategies for key talent and critical positions.
• Design and execute learning and development programmes to build required capabilities.
• Implement performance management processes, including performance improvement plans and exit procedures.
• Identify training needs and coordinate with the Group Training Department to deliver appropriate initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of HR experience, preferably in a retail or similar fast‑moving environment.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence business decisions.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, organisational development, and change management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building collaborative relationships.
