HR Generalist

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking an HR Generalist to join its HR Business Partnering team in Doha. The role is central to driving people initiatives, supporting the employee lifecycle, and ensuring consistent implementation of HR policies and best practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line managers to provide day‑to‑day HR guidance and support.
• Assist in implementing HR strategies and people initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Support recruitment activities, including job description development and approval processes.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied.
• Act as a key point of contact for HR‑related communications and information sharing.
• Provide advice on performance management, disciplinary matters, and employee attendance.
• Assist managers with performance reviews, development planning, promotions, transfers, and other employee‑related matters.
• Deliver coaching and guidance to managers on people‑management best practices.
• Maintain accurate employee and departmental records.
• Prepare and manage HR correspondence, reports, presentations, and documentation.
• Gather and analyse HR metrics and data to support business decision‑making.
• Research HR best practices and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in HR Specialist, HR Officer, or Generalist roles.
• Advanced degree or professional accreditation in HR (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of HR management principles and best practices.
• Experience in employee relations and people management.
