Investment Analyst/Officer – Treasury & Investment Operations

About the role

The Investment Analyst/Officer will join the Treasury & Investment Operations function of a public‑sector organisation in Doha. Reporting to the Section Head, you will ensure accurate processing, settlement and regulatory compliance of investment transactions across FEQ/PT, Bond/PT and QE instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational activities assigned by the Section Head in line with local regulations and internal policies.
• Receive, review and record approved documents for FEQ/PT, Bond/PT and QE transactions following the approval matrix.
• Track and update pending case files for all investment transactions.
• Obtain and process rights‑issue applications from internal staff and banks within agreed SLAs.
• Liaise with dealers and stockbrokers to obtain deal confirmations via approved channels.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in approvals or executed deals with internal teams.
• Maintain system and hard‑copy records of investment proposals and support transaction accounting.
• Assist the Section Head in investigating pending cases arising from operational errors.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports to satisfy regulatory, audit and compliance requirements.
• Perform daily verification and reconciliation of NOSTRO account items against manual and system postings.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Banking, Finance or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Management or related field is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial services or banking, with direct responsibility for treasury and investment settlements.
• Strong understanding of investment transaction processing for FEQ/PT, Bond/PT and QE instruments.
• Familiarity with NOSTRO account reconciliation and MIS reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to treasury and investment operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple pending cases.
