IT Supervisor

About the role

The IT Supervisor will support Westin Hotels & Resorts’ technology environment in Doha, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, networks and telecommunications. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting with process improvement and user training.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware and network issues.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to address business problems.
• Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements.
• Manage and maintain client/server applications, user accounts and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Maintain records of data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions.
• Train end‑users on proper use of hardware and software.
• Coordinate planning, design, operations and maintenance of telecommunications activities.
• Advise on administrative policies, technical priorities and methods related to telecommunications.
• Support the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy and act as a first point of contact for employee concerns.
• Perform routine data entry and POS system tasks, and handle light physical duties (lifting ≤10 lb).

Required profile

• Minimum two years of relevant IT experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education (preferred).
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a hospitality environment in Doha, Qatar.
