Jacket Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Jacket Structural Engineer to lead the design, review and technical support of offshore jacket structures for our projects in Qatar. The role involves ensuring compliance with international codes, managing interface coordination and mitigating project risks.

Key responsibilities

• Design jacket structures, perform calculations and compile detailed reports.
• Review and approve engineering schemes, implementation plans and related documents.
• Provide technical support for procurement, bid preparation, drawing review, FAT and other procurement activities.
• Coordinate with clients, classification societies and regulatory bodies to resolve technical issues and incorporate review comments.
• Deliver regular technical training to design teams (minimum 10 sessions or 40 hours per year).
• Support site and offshore surveys, fabrication, and jacket installation activities.
• Assist with risk identification and develop appropriate counter‑measures.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
• At least 8 years of offshore jacket structural engineering experience, preferably in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, SHELL DEP, Saudi Arabian and Qatari regulations).
• Fluent English communication skills; native‑level English preferred for foreign candidates.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including offshore assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SACS, MOSES, ANSYS and USFOS.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• In‑depth understanding of jacket structural engineering principles.
