KG2 Homeroom Teacher (Early Childhood)

About the role

The KG2 Homeroom Teacher will lead a vibrant early‑learning classroom at Hayat Universal School, delivering the British Columbia curriculum to young learners. The role focuses on creating a supportive, inquiry‑based environment that nurtures each child's academic and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily, weekly and unit‑level lessons aligned with the British Columbia Ministry of Education standards.
• Implement differentiated instruction and student‑inquiry strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Organise enrichment activities such as field trips, showcases, concerts and plays at class or school level.
• Communicate assignments and objectives clearly, providing appropriate homework that reinforces classroom learning.
• Assess, diagnose and support individual student progress, offering targeted feedback and interventions.

Required profile

• Experience with differentiated learning and student‑inquiry instruction.
• Background in ESL education is strongly preferred.
• International teaching experience or a demonstrated respect for diverse cultures.
