Land Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Land Surveyor to join our team in Doha. The role involves conducting field surveys, processing GPS data, and delivering accurate CAD deliverables for construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Accomplish surveys and translate GPS data into AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012.
• Record detailed field notes with tabular and graphical data following established survey standards.
• Utilize automated field survey codes and equipment to collect data according to project specifications.
• Read, analyze, and interpret engineering and construction plans, performing field work from blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches.
• Coordinate with survey crew, inspectors, contractors, and engineers, managing schedules and resolving conflicts.
• Keep supervisors informed of progress, potential issues, and feasibility considerations.
• Participate as part of a collaborative team, maintaining workflow and adapting to changing needs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. licensed surveyor.
• Minimum three years of relevant field data collection experience using electronic surveying instruments, including government or military environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Active or interim Secret security clearance with ability to maintain it.
• U.S. citizenship.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (2012 or later) and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012.
• ESRI ArcMap / ArcEditor.
• Visual Basic.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• GPS data collection and electronic survey measuring instruments.
• Computer networking fundamentals.
• Microsoft Office suite.
