Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all linen and garments are cleaned, inspected, and prepared to the highest standards for use across the company. This onsite position requires careful handling of equipment, chemicals, and finished items while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, rewash, or discard.
• Operate industrial washing, drying, and dry‑cleaning machines, adding appropriate chemicals and monitoring cycles.
• Clean lint traps, dryer screens, and drainage systems after each load.
• Fold and sort cleaned articles by size, using hand methods or folding machines.
• Maintain accurate records of laundered items and report any equipment issues.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, including wearing proper uniform.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for an entire shift.
• Capability to work in confined, elevated, or slippery areas and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Attention to detail for visual inspection of tools and finished products.
