Laundry Technician

About the role

The InterContinental Doha City hotel is seeking a dedicated Laundry Technician to ensure the smooth operation of its commercial laundry facilities. You will work closely with the laundry team, providing technical support and maintenance to keep all equipment running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial laundry machines, including washers and dryers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all laundry equipment to minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organised, and in good condition.
• Support energy‑conservation initiatives by identifying maintenance improvements.
• Follow health, safety, and hotel engineering standards during all repairs.
• Collaborate with laundry staff to resolve technical issues and ensure uninterrupted service.
• Undertake additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 lb (23 kg) and perform frequent bending, walking, and standing.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
