Lead Data Governance Manager

About the role

The Lead Data Governance Manager will head a central team responsible for ensuring accurate, consistent, and high‑quality data across more than 120 data domains within Airswift. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the data governance strategy that underpins AI, advanced analytics, and digital platform initiatives, driving data‑driven decision making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the enterprise data governance framework, policies, standards and guidelines.
• Lead a team of two direct reports and manage five service contracts, overseeing an annual budget of approximately USD 2 million.
• Collaborate with digital teams, department focal points, data owners and stewards to embed governance practices in AI, analytics and data platform operations.
• Develop and deliver data‑literacy programmes to up‑skill the organisation on data value and usage.
• Measure data‑governance maturity, set yearly improvement targets and report progress to senior leadership.
• Advise the leadership team on enterprise‑wide data governance solutions, challenges and investment priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data governance, data management or related fields.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams and multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills, with a track record of advising senior executives.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating technical concepts for business audiences.
