About the role
The Lead QC Engineer – Welding will head quality control activities for a major oil and gas project in Qatar. You will ensure that all welding processes meet stringent quality and safety standards, providing technical oversight and inspection throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate welding quality control activities on site.
- Verify that welding procedures and workmanship comply with project specifications and applicable codes.
- Conduct inspections, non‑destructive testing and documentation of welding activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain records and generate reports for internal and client audits.
Required profile
- Minimum 7–8 years of GCC experience in welding QC.
- CSWIP 3.2.2 certification.
- ISO 9001:2015 (IRCA) certification.
- Strong background in welding inspection and quality management within oil & gas.
