About the role

The College of General Education at UDST seeks a Lecturer in Humanities to design and deliver interdisciplinary courses focused on Qatar and the GCC. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, and participation in cross‑college initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver courses in social analysis, Qatar History, Islamic culture, Human Development, Public Policy or related fields.
• Evaluate student progress, manage learning resources and maintain course documentation for accreditation.
• Participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate projects within the program area.
• Contribute to instructional and new program development, supporting applied and experiential learning.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sociology, History, Political Science, International Relations, Gulf Studies, Public Policy or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three years of full‑time teaching experience at upper secondary, post‑secondary or higher education level.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational technology and digital platforms.
• Digital literacy and ability to use contemporary tools and resources.
• Experience designing technology‑enriched learning environments.
