Lifting Supervisor – Qatar

About the role

Aertssen Machinery Services, part of the Aertssen Group, is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on site in Qatar. The role involves ensuring safe and correct execution of work, conducting risk‑assessment meetings, and reporting any incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all lifting operations on site, ensuring correct and safe execution.
• Conduct meetings, assess risks and report & investigate any incidents.
• Inspect cranes daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
• Coordinate crane operators, riggers and other personnel involved with the lifting operations.
• Collaborate and maintain constant communication with the site manager, foreman, rigger, and other involved parties.

Required profile

• At least 30 years of age and physically fit.
• Minimum secondary education.
• Eight (8) years of lifting or rigging experience.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Strong expertise in crawler crane assembly and dismantling.
• Proficient in English (reading, speaking, writing).
• Certified medically fit by a Qatar‑registered medical practitioner.
