Maintenance Technician (Guest Services)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to respond to guest repair requests and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities in Lusail, Qatar. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs across a range of hotel equipment and building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicating effectively to resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts using approved communication standards.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, HVAC systems, TV units and other guestroom items.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler system maintenance.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and handle heavier items with assistance.
• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry.
• Strong attention to safety, ability to follow company policies and report hazards.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and good communication skills.
