Maintenance Technician – Guest Services

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to respond to guest repair requests and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities in Lusail, Qatar. The role combines hands‑on technical work with excellent communication to deliver a high‑standard guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and follow up on issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect equipment, operate shut‑off valves, and manage utility shut‑offs for the building.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC, and other guestroom items.
• Program TVs, perform housekeeping‑related inventory duties, and use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain landscaping and sprinkler systems, and update air‑handler schedules via computer.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and finish work.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb unassisted; heavier items may require assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety policies.
• Clear, courteous communication with guests and team members.
