Manager - Brands & Commercial

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Manager to act as the commercial point of truth across brands, the market and StarZen’s omnichannel business. Reporting to the Head of D2C, you will translate data into decisive actions that drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain brand intelligence by tracking launches, product roadmaps, supply allocations, commercial terms, vendor funding and channel priorities.
• Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, assortment, promotions, new launches and shifting customer demand, and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Establish the commercial truth by analysing sales, gross margin, stock ageing, sell‑through, pricing, promotions and SKU‑level performance.
• Drive commercial action such as buying decisions, price adjustments, vendor negotiations, allocation changes, stock movements, assortment tweaks, promotion launches or stops, and inventory clearance.
• Lead buying decisions, determining what to purchase, how much, and why, while collaborating with a Commercial Operations Executive for administrative support.

Required profile

• Proven ownership of a P&L, category or business‑line outcome.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret numbers quickly and make decisive calls.
• Experience working with brands, distributors and vendors in an omnichannel environment.
• Ability to synthesize data into clear recommendations and execute them promptly.
• Excellent negotiation and execution skills.
