Material Controller / Material Coordinator – Piping

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Material Controller / Material Coordinator specialized in piping to oversee the complete flow of piping materials. The role ensures that materials are available safely, accurately, and on time for fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair activities.

Key responsibilities

• Raise material requests and reservations in SAP based on approved Material Take‑Off (MTO) documents.
• Prepare and maintain material documentation, including MTCD and MTO forms.
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and warehouse teams to guarantee timely delivery and collection of materials.
• Receive, verify, and inspect incoming piping materials against packing lists, purchase documents, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Ensure proper segregation, storage, and color‑coding of long‑lead materials for traceability.
• Maintain accurate material master data, registers, and issue records.
• Monitor material consumption, identify shortages or excess stock, and resolve material‑related issues with project and engineering teams.
• Support fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair activities by ensuring material availability throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
• Relevant experience in material control/coordination, preferably within piping, oil & gas, EPC or industrial projects.
• Hands‑on experience with piping materials and Material Take‑Off processes.
• Strong understanding of material receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and traceability.
• Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills.
