Mechanical Engineer – Power & Desalination Projects

About the role

The client, a major Middle‑East organization, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support design review, construction monitoring and commissioning of mechanical and process equipment for power and desalination plants in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design review, construction monitoring, and commissioning support for mechanical and process equipment on power and desalination plants.
• Attend site meetings and review EPC contractor weekly and monthly reports and related project documentation.
• Review method statements, procedures and test plans for factory/workshop manufacturing and site construction activities.
• Participate in inspection, witness site construction activities and conduct system walk‑downs.
• Raise punch‑list items, defects, NCRs and support the review and coordination of O&M manuals and spares planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of experience on desalination or power generation projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of conceptual design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
• Familiarity with GCC mechanical safety codes and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and fluent English communication.
