Mechatronics Mentor

About the role

SkillFusion Robotics is expanding its curriculum with a dedicated Mechanical & Design track and seeks a Mechatronics Mentor to co‑develop and deliver this new course to partner schools across Qatar. The role is part‑time, hybrid, and involves three hours of teaching each day, with Fridays and Saturdays off.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the Mechanical & Design curriculum, including lesson plans, workbooks, slide decks, and hands‑on project kits.
• Define learning progression for different age groups, from basic mechanisms to advanced CAD design and applied mechatronics builds.
• Select, prototype, and test mechanical projects suitable for classroom delivery (gears, linkages, 3D‑printed parts, etc.).
• Teach the course on a scheduled ECA basis at partner schools.
• Collaborate with the existing robotics and coding curriculum team to ensure continuity across the Pre‑K to Grade 12 pathway.
• Maintain and iterate course materials based on classroom feedback.
• Manage basic kit and inventory needs for mechanical builds.

Required profile

• Background in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering with hands‑on experience in mechanical design, electronics, and embedded coding.
• Prior teaching, mentoring, or workshop‑facilitation experience with school‑age students is strongly preferred.
• Ability to design curriculum from scratch and communicate effectively in English; Arabic or Hindi a plus.
• Based in Doha and able to travel to partner schools.
