Middleware Architect – Integration Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Middleware Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integration solutions. The role spans the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to production support, with a focus on IBM App Connect Enterprise and modern integration patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integration solutions using services, microservices, monoliths, middleware, and messaging.
• Own the IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) platform – setup, administration, configuration, development and deployment.
• Lead and mentor a Middleware team, allocate work, define quality standards and drive technical direction.
• Create high‑level and low‑level technical designs that align with enterprise architecture and industry standards.
• Develop Java‑based integration components using Spring, Hibernate and related technologies.
• Design and implement microservices and API‑based integrations, working with API Gateway or API Mesh platforms.
• Apply DevOps and Agile practices – branching strategies, code reviews, CI/CD, GitOps concepts.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in middleware, integration and enterprise solution architecture.
• Strong expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven leadership experience managing a technical team.
• Background in Banking or BFSI industry is highly preferred.
