Network Engineer – Enterprise Monitoring & GIAMON

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer & Analyst to lead the monitoring, operation, and optimisation of our enterprise network infrastructure. The role focuses on using GIAMON alongside other monitoring platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and security across all network layers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network devices and services using GIAMON and complementary tools.
• Analyse performance, capacity, and utilisation metrics to identify trends and bottlenecks.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
• Respond to alerts, incidents and service requests in line with SLA commitments.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for outages and performance degradations.
• Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and network documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud and application teams for issue resolution.
• Support network capacity planning, upgrades, patching and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with GIAMON for network discovery, monitoring and alert management.
• Strong background in enterprise routing, switching and security technologies.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network problems and perform detailed packet analysis.
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with network diagramming.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work across multiple technical groups.
