Offshore Electrician - Oil and Gas Project

About the role

Wings Technical Services is hiring 6 experienced electricians for an offshore oil and gas project in Qatar. The work involves installing, maintaining and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment on an offshore facility. Full-time, 10-hour days, with immediate joining preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect and repair electrical systems and equipment at offshore facilities.
• Perform cable laying, cable termination and electrical connection works.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out corrective maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain motors, lighting systems, distribution panels and other electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documents.
• Carry out electrical testing and verify that installations meet project specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment defects or abnormal conditions.
• Follow approved electrical procedures, isolation practices and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.
• Comply with offshore safety standards, permit-to-work procedures and HSE requirements.
• Use appropriate tools and PPE, and maintain good housekeeping.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
• Previous offshore project experience is mandatory; local candidates only.
• Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory.
• Available for offshore deployment and able to join immediately.
• ITI, trade certificate or diploma in Electrical or a related field is preferred.

Required skills

• Electrical installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical panels, motors, cable laying, cable termination and lighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical safety, isolation procedures and LOTO.
