Operations Manager / Poultry

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead end‑to‑end poultry operations, ensuring high productivity, bird health, biosecurity, operational efficiency and profitability. This senior role combines deep technical poultry expertise with strong managerial capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily poultry operations across rearing, feed, hatchery, slaughtering/processing and production performance.
• Manage cage‑based systems, ensuring proper feeding, watering, ventilation, lighting and environmental controls.
• Monitor bird health, mortality, growth rates, feed conversion ratio (FCR), production efficiency and bio‑security compliance.
• Coordinate vaccination, medication, disease prevention and veterinary programmes.
• Supervise farm managers, supervisors and operational teams while enforcing SOPs, safety, animal welfare and food‑safety standards.
• Control feed usage, inventory, equipment, facilities maintenance and other operational resources.
• Analyse production data, control costs, prepare performance reports and drive operational improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Science or a related field.
• Minimum 15 + years of experience in large‑scale poultry operations, preferably within GCC companies.
• Hands‑on experience with commercial cage‑based poultry systems and the full poultry value chain.
• Proven experience supervising multiple areas such as rearing, feed, hatchery and processing.
