OT Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join a leading oil & gas company in Qatar. The role focuses on protecting operational technology environments, including DCS, SIS, PLC and SCADA systems, from cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support secure OT network architecture, segmentation and industrial firewalls.
• Deploy and manage OT-specific security solutions such as Endpoint Protection Platforms, OT IDS and SIEM.
• Provide incident management, troubleshooting and support during FAT/SAT and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure OT assets comply with security standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Hands‑on experience with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA or other industrial control systems.
• Proven background in OT/ICS cybersecurity rather than pure IT security.
• Experience designing OT network segmentation, industrial firewalls and secure OT infrastructures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OT communication protocols and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Endpoint Protection Platforms, OT IDS, SIEM, authentication and access‑control solutions.
• Understanding of industry standards such as IEC, ISA, NIST and ISO.
• Experience with instrument asset management, metering and machinery monitoring systems.
