Peer Reviewer (PhD) – Vascular Surgery

About the role

We are seeking experienced PhD‑level researchers to provide expert peer review for manuscripts in the field of vascular surgery. This is a long‑term, part‑time position that can be performed remotely, offering flexibility while contributing to the quality of scientific publications.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and scientific contribution of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity and validity.
• Provide constructive, written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewable publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
