Planning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for experienced Planning Engineers to support large‑scale construction projects in Qatar. The role involves developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring delivery aligns with contractual milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Prepare baseline, detailed work programs and look‑ahead schedules.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress, identify deviations and report weekly/monthly status.
• Analyse delays, assess impact on completion dates and assist in recovery planning.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders to gather progress updates.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedule submissions.
• Produce progress presentations, dashboards and management reports.
• Maintain accurate planning records and project control documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of total professional experience, including at least 5 years in project planning and scheduling.
• Experience on large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in Qatar or the GCC.
