Project Controls Director

About the role

The Project Controls Director leads and manages all project controls functions across major construction, infrastructure and EPC projects. The role ensures effective planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting, reporting and risk management to meet scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives. The director also provides leadership to project controls teams and can act on behalf of the senior director when required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve integrated project controls systems covering planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting and reporting.
• Review and approve execution, baseline and recovery schedules; monitor milestones, critical paths and schedule performance.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures and cost forecasts; support earned value management and financial performance tracking.
• Consolidate weekly, monthly and executive performance reports; create dashboards and KPI reports for senior management and clients.
• Participate in schedule and cost risk assessments; support claims analysis and change management activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in project controls within construction, infrastructure or EPC environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop project controls teams.
• Experience establishing baselines, work breakdown structures and performance measurement systems.
• Strong analytical skills to provide corrective and preventive recommendations.
