Psychiatrist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join a reputable hospital in Qatar. The role involves delivering comprehensive mental health care, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of psychiatric and mental health conditions.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, including medication management.
• Prescribe and adjust psychiatric medications as appropriate.
• Handle psychiatric emergencies and conduct patient risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide counseling, patient education, and follow‑up care.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Hold or be eligible for a DHP (QCHP) Qatar medical license.
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialisation experience (preferred).
• Experience in GCC/Qatar healthcare settings is advantageous.
