Public Policy Assistant / Associate Professor

About the role

The College of Public Policy at Hamad Bin Khalifa University seeks a dedicated Public Policy Assistant / Associate Professor to join its faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to graduate teaching, research, and academic service, supporting the College’s mission to develop ethically grounded public leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver graduate-level courses and seminars in public policy, public administration, governance, or related fields.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish scholarly work, and pursue external research funding.
• Supervise graduate theses, research projects, and independent study activities.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in, and when appropriate chair, college and university committees.
• Contribute to curriculum design, program development, and accreditation processes.
• Engage with the broader policy community through conferences, publications, and policy outreach.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in public policy with a focus on public administration, governance, or closely related areas.
• Strong record of scholarly research and publications.
• Experience in teaching at the graduate level.
• Ability to secure research funding and supervise graduate work.
• Commitment to academic service and community engagement.
