Quality Lead – Vendor Management for Offshore Compression

About the role

The Quality Lead (Vendor) will drive the implementation of the QELNG quality management programme for a multi‑billion offshore compression project in Qatar. Working on‑site six days a week, you will ensure that all purchased material and equipment meet project specifications and that the EPC contractor’s quality system is fully compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Project Quality Plan and oversee the contractor’s Quality Management System (QMS) for procurement activities.
• Run the Procurement Quality Surveillance Programme to verify adequacy and effectiveness of EPC contractor actions.
• Administer third‑party and site inspection services (TPSIS & SIS) and monitor their performance.
• Manage deficiency and Non‑Conformance Report (NCR) processes, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
• Produce quality performance reports, highlighting issues, risks and trends to the Head of Quality.
• Participate actively in the Project Quality Audit Programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management within large EPC or offshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong self‑organisation and ability to work under pressure while maintaining a constructive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with global teams and vendors.
• Willingness to travel as required for business trips.
