Requirements Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Requirements Engineer to join our Regulatory Tax Reporting team in Doha. You will work closely with tax regulators, product owners and cross‑functional scrum teams to deliver compliant software solutions for global banking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse local tax regulator requirements and translate them into a prioritized backlog.
• Provide engineering and analytical expertise during solution design and pre‑inception phases.
• Design, review and support test cases; collaborate with QA to validate functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Work with scrum teams to deliver iterative increments within an agile framework.
• Act as the liaison between development teams and business stakeholders for end‑to‑end order‑lifecycle use cases.
• Document user stories, acceptance criteria and conduct impact analyses for affected people and systems.
• Ensure product quality, cost‑efficiency and regulatory compliance throughout delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in a global banking environment with exposure to tax‑related reporting.
• Familiarity with reporting standards such as CRS and regulatory frameworks like AEI, FACTA and CARF.
• Proven ability to design, execute and automate test cases.
• Strong business‑analysis skills, capable of translating requirements into cost‑effective IT solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with process‑flow analysis, use‑case modelling and UML diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a distributed, high‑pressure team.
