Restaurant General Manager – Flagship Lebanese Restaurant

About the role

The Restaurant General Manager will lead all operational, commercial and guest‑experience aspects of Al Sufra, the flagship Lebanese restaurant in Doha. Reporting to hotel leadership, the GM ensures 5‑star luxury standards while celebrating authentic Levantine hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day front‑of‑house operations and coordinate with the Lebanese Executive Chef to align back‑of‑house activities.
• Maintain Forbes‑level service standards across greeting, mezza presentation, tableside service, shisha service and departure.
• Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, local food‑safety regulations and HACCP standards.
• Take full accountability for the restaurant’s P&L, budgeting, revenue generation, cost control and financial forecasting.
• Drive revenue through strategic marketing, seasonal promotions, yield management and event bookings.
• Analyse sales data, guest footfall and average check to optimise menu engineering and profitability.
• Act as venue ambassador, greeting VIPs, dignitaries and regular guests, and handling service recovery.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multicultural team, delivering training on menu knowledge, upselling and luxury service protocols.

Required profile

• Lebanese national.
• Extensive knowledge of authentic Lebanese and Middle‑Eastern cuisine.
• Proven track record in P&L management and cost control within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership experience with multicultural teams.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with high‑profile guests and local clientele.
