Retail Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Manager to oversee our 24‑hour operation in Doha, driving commercial performance, increasing turnover and maximizing profitability. You will ensure promotions meet company standards, manage daily staff activities and uphold exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and motivate the retail team to increase sales.
• Tour the sales floor regularly, engage with colleagues and customers, and resolve issues.
• Analyze sales figures, forecast future sales and achieve departmental budget.
• Use information technology to record sales data for analysis and planning.
• Interpret market trends to support department planning.
• Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively to enhance the customer experience.
• Control stock levels and make key decisions on inventory management.
• Maintain quality, customer service and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Resolve health‑and‑safety, legal and security matters.
• Communicate business performance, initiatives and pertinent issues to colleagues.
• Monitor retail travel industry trends, competitor actions and upcoming customer initiatives.
• Initiate improvements based on ongoing observations.
• Handle sales as needed to keep stock levels well controlled.
• Organise special promotions, displays and events.
• Coordinate official stock takes, schedule staff and ensure accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Strong financial knowledge of cash handling, banking and budgeting.
• Minimum 7 years of experience developing and managing people and improving bottom‑line results.
• Operational experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
• Good understanding of the regional business environment and ability to leverage networks.
• Experience working in the Middle East, international business or luxury market.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
