Rotating Equipment Repair Technician / Machinist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Workshop Repair Technician with extensive experience in machining and rotating‑equipment repairs, including turbo and reciprocating compressors, steam and gas turbines. The role combines hands‑on operation of precision machines with inspection, drawing creation, and continuous‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate horizontal lathes, boring machines and small milling machines for precision machining tasks.
• Perform complex repairs on turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and gas turbines.
• Execute reverse‑engineering projects for worn or damaged components.
• Conduct detailed dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools and prepare inspection reports.
• Generate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for components and assemblies.
• Collaborate on process‑improvement and workshop development initiatives.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all activities.
• Use MS Office for reporting, documentation and communication.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
• 10+ years of experience in rotating‑equipment repairs and machining operations.
• Proven ability to operate horizontal lathes, boring machines and milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and gas turbines repair processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with reverse‑engineering techniques and precision measurement tools.
• Excellent understanding of safety standards and workshop best practices.
• Analytical, problem‑solving mindset with effective communication and teamwork skills.
