Sales Associate (Retail)

About the role

The Sales Associate will represent the brand in a retail environment, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales through product knowledge and a friendly attitude. You will work on the shop floor, assisting shoppers, promoting loyalty programmes and ensuring the store meets visual and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and guide them to the right products, converting browsers into buyers.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat purchases.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure stock is displayed attractively.
• Handle the POS system, process payments (cash, credit cards, vouchers, automatic debits) and issue receipts, refunds and change accurately.
• Perform cash‑till reconciliation at the start and end of each shift.
• Record inventory movements, conduct stock counts and keep accurate reports.
• Adhere to loss‑prevention policies, store security procedures and confidentiality of sales data.
• Work flexible shifts, including extended hours during sales periods and overtime as required.

Required profile

• Presentable, well‑groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Strong product knowledge and the ability to suggest items that meet customer needs.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and busy sales periods.
• Attention to detail, especially in cash handling and inventory accuracy.
• Commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service following the GUEST selling methodology.
