Scaffolding Manager – Lead Operations & Commercial Performance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Manager to lead the operational and commercial performance of a large‑scale scaffolding business across Qatar. This senior role carries end‑to‑end responsibility for scaffolding operations, inventory management and profitability in the oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial and construction sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all scaffolding operations across Oil & Gas, petrochemical, industrial, infrastructure and construction projects.
• Manage departmental operational, commercial and financial performance, including revenue, costs, utilization and profitability.
• Plan and optimise deployment of scaffolding manpower, supervisors, inspectors, materials and equipment.
• Own scaffolding inventory, ensuring maximum utilisation and commercial return.
• Oversee project mobilisation, execution, productivity, cost control, demobilisation and resource redeployment.
• Manage departmental P&L and identify opportunities to improve margins, productivity and rental returns.
• Support tendering and estimation with manpower, material, productivity and execution inputs.
• Develop strong client relationships and identify new opportunities for scaffolding rental, supply, installation and dismantling.
• Ensure strict compliance with QHSE, inspection and scaffolding safety standards.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors and frontline scaffolding teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; relevant technical qualifications in scaffolding, construction or project management also considered.
• 10–15 years’ experience in scaffolding operations, preferably within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, industrial construction/maintenance or major construction projects.
• Proven experience managing a large scaffolding workforce and substantial inventory.
• Strong commercial and P&L management capability.
• Experience supporting tendering, estimating and pricing is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership, client‑management and negotiation skills.
