School Nurse

About the role

The School Nurse delivers comprehensive health services within Compass International School Doha, supporting the physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing of students. The role works closely with teachers, parents and external healthcare providers to ensure each child can fully participate in learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day nursing care, emergency response and health education to students.
• Support pupils with chronic medical conditions and coordinate care plans.
• Maintain accurate health records, documentation and confidentiality in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external clinicians to meet individual health needs.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment through health screenings and preventative programmes.

Required profile

• University degree in Nursing and a valid nursing licence from your home country.
• Licensed holder of the Qatar Council for Health Practitioners (QCHP).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a school nurse or in pediatric/community health.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); Arabic fluency is an advantage.
• Ability to work under Qatar visa regulations and adapt to an international school setting.

Required skills

• Valid QCHP nursing licence.
