Senior Business Analyst – Analytics (AI/BI)

About the role

QatarEnergy is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in analytics, artificial intelligence and business intelligence. The role focuses on designing, deploying and integrating scalable AI/ML solutions that empower data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operationalise AI/ML models and large‑language‑model (LLM) applications for business use cases.
• Integrate AI/ML models and LLM capabilities into existing BI platforms to enable natural‑language querying and conversational analytics.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualisations that translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for reliable ML workflows.
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance, model explainability and ethical AI standards, including data lineage and sensitivity labeling.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and communicate results clearly.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, AI engineering or advanced analytics; oil‑and‑gas experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, LLM architectures and modern AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and model development.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
