Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer

About the role

The Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Windows, virtualization, and cloud environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands‑on leadership to ensure high availability, security, and performance across hybrid infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NTP and Microsoft Failover Clustering.
• Design, configure and optimize VMware vSphere clusters, including HA, DRS, vMotion and capacity planning.
• Architect, deploy and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services such as VMs, VM Scale Sets, VNets, VPN/ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Storage, Backup and Site Recovery.
• Implement Azure security and governance controls: RBAC, Conditional Access, Azure Policy, Key Vault, CMK and Disk Encryption.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Stream) and related security tools (Defender, Intune).
• Oversee patch management, vulnerability remediation and OS hardening across on‑prem and cloud platforms.
• Provide L3/L4 support, lead incident resolution and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks and operational procedures while coordinating audits and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, with a focus on Windows Server, Azure and VMware.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware VCP, ITIL Foundation.

• Microsoft 365 SaaS administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Defender, Intune).
• SCCM and Intune for endpoint lifecycle management.
• Patch management, vulnerability remediation and OS hardening.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks and audit requirements.
