Senior Commercial Analyst

About the role

Qatargas is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to lead the commercial representation of its operated joint ventures. The role involves designing, negotiating, and delivering commercial agreements that enable project development and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to design and develop commercial frameworks for issue resolution.
• Negotiate multi‑partite agreements within a pre‑approved mandate covering project execution, operations, shared facilities, and utilities.
• Lead functional reviews of agreements and amendments, securing necessary board approvals.
• Ensure timely handover of executed agreements and support implementation as required.
• Formulate recommendations to preserve and enhance the value of agreements.
• Develop venture positions on common‑facility matters such as capacity buy‑ins and budget oversight.
• Maintain clear documentation of existing and in‑development agreements.
• Provide interpretation of agreement provisions to marketing, finance, and other departments.
• Continuously improve processes and champion updates.
• Participate in technical and management committee meetings related to common facilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of commercial experience in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 5 years negotiating and drafting commercial agreements for large‑scale oil and gas projects.
• Strong understanding of joint‑venture operations and commercial governance across the LNG value chain.
