Senior Corrosion Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Corrosion Engineer to provide technical expertise in corrosion engineering for oil and gas facilities in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on monitoring, controlling and mitigating corrosion to ensure safety, reliability and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Review material and design requirements for new projects and modifications, including corrosion monitoring and control programs.
• Develop and implement corrosion control programs covering cathodic protection, protective coatings, chemical inhibition and monitoring systems.
• Conduct corrosion investigations, risk assessments and integrity operating window analyses.
• Prepare Statements of Work, review technical reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Define coating and painting specifications, inspect coating conditions and coordinate quality control.
• Provide technical advice to internal teams, vendors and external consultants.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of experience in corrosion engineering within oil and gas.
• Experience with both onshore and offshore facilities is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop procedures, standards and best practices for corrosion control.
