Senior Data Science Engineer

About the role

Malomatia is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead data science initiatives on the OCI Data Science Platform. You will design, build, and operationalise machine learning solutions that drive business value for clients across Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Build, train, evaluate and deploy ML models using OCI Data Science, notebooks and Python.
• Perform data cleansing, feature engineering, dataset management and model validation.
• Develop supervised and unsupervised models for forecasting, classification, clustering and recommendation.
• Manage model lifecycle, versioning, approvals, governance and traceability via OCI Model Catalog.
• Implement MLOps pipelines, deploy models as scalable REST APIs and support CI/CD processes.
• Monitor model performance, utilisation and drift; trigger retraining and optimisation.
• Provide L2/L3 operational support for deployed AI/ML solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning or advanced analytics.
• At least 3 years of experience with OCI Data Science or comparable cloud ML platforms.
• Proven track record of developing, deploying and monitoring production‑grade ML models.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, feature engineering, model governance and large‑scale data analysis.
• OCI Data Science Professional or related certifications are a plus.
